Reanimar Coral Reefs

Started in Porto de Galinhas in partnership with the AHPG (Hotels’ Association of Porto de Galinhas), we use a systemic and self-sustainable method for restoring natural resources. Focusing on 3 objectives:
Restore impacted coral reefs settings through advanced methods of coral production, growth and outplanting, and for gardening marine impacted areas. Consequently, improving the recovery of the natural charming and biological functionality of coral reef’s environment.

Its implementation is defined in 3 phases

Phase 1

Achieve a reasonable scientific maturity for production of local coral species; prepare a custom-made restoration plan; characterize the environmental area to be restored; and select suitable site for coral outplanting.

Phase 2

The creation of tourist aquariums. The maturity improvement of coral husbandry and outplanting.

Phase 3

The creation of new tourist eco-attractions; the development of tourist-restoration-activities for training local workers; and the attraction of funders for the expansion of the restoration plan.
